Indah is a 27-year-old vanilla producer. She started developing vanilla production four years ago, after finishing her university studies in business administration in Jakarta. The vanilla she offers comes from her own plantation as well as from her parents'. Her studies in international trade allow her and her family to sell all over the world and to make much better money than selling to international traders.
She produces two types of vanilla spread over several parcels of land in the islands that make up Indonesia: planifolia, a black vanilla rich in vanillin; and the Tahitian genus: a hybrid that is more resistant to fungal diseases, made in Tahiti from vanilla odorata and vanilla planifolia.
You'll be amazed at the range of different flavours that the Indonesian territory produces: the batch of Tahitensis from the Tanggerang plantation has a record level of vanillin and a powerful taste of vanilla, candied red fruits, and some black liquorice notes; while the batch from the mountains of North Kalimantan has a very exotic and bewitching taste of eucalyptus, ginger and candied lemon. Absolutely unique!
Its planifolias, on the other hand, are fleshy and filled with a phenomenal amount of spicy vanilla caviar.
